Bird Nest Bonanza? I Think Not!

I am up to 81 Slayer, and slowly closing in on 96 Strength. While Slayer may not bore me, I do have a few things that have taken up considerable time. I really want at least one God Bird, and I would most like a Guthix Raptor. I have been Woodcutting in the attempt to gain an egg that would hatch into such a bird. I have leveled from around 64 Woodcut up to 68 as I type, and yet no bird eggs. I have heard it is a 1 in 200 shot to get a God Bird Egg from a fallen nest, but I still have to give it a shot. I am trying to only do it in short spurts between Slayer tasks, and if I reach 75 Woodcut with no egg I may give up.
I am trying to decide when to sell off the loot I have accumulated during tasks. I needed cash a week ago and cleared the Bank Tab devoted to said loot. It now contains mostly low level drops such as: Water Orbs, Blood Runes, Rune Full Helms, and the occassional pair of Rune Boots. Although I would like to keep this Tab untouched until 99 Slayer, I have very little other means of cash at the moment. So I am contemplating if I should do this, and if so when.

In other news I hit 75 Summoning, but Jagex refuses to give me my egg!

Since I Last Posted

I have been steadily completing task after task en route to 99 Slayer. I have hit 80 Slayer, 95 Strength and 73 Summoning since I last posted. My goal of 99 Slayer is a long term goal, but I do not plan on giving up on it whatsoever. Outside of Slayer and the occasional Farming run, I have only done some clues and finished getting Full Void Range. Right now my task is 190 something Gargoyles, but I do have an idea about monsters like this. I would like it if it auto switched to your Rock Hammer for the kill shot, instead of needingto use it on the monster. After selling my Bandos Tassets in order to obtain 99 Cooking, I have finally bought them back.

All in all I am happy...now back to killing!

Another Look At The Name Change Update

This update has been one of my all-time favorites, but it comes with a few annoyances. I love the ability to go back, and write the wrongs made during the initial character creation. It helps out those people: who added numbers they would like trimmed(Playerxyz156), who are no longer dating people they named their characters for(Iluvjanedoe), and those who once loved Pokemon for instance and grew out of it).
The one annoyance I referred to earlier was that you can: use all capitals, use no capitals, or mix and max capitalization). The only names I really have a problem with, are those that have no capitals whatsoever.
I was one of the people who had a number on my name, and well I didn't like my name to begin with. I changed my name to Phit Phit, and on Novermber 1st I will have the ability to change it again. As I have written I changed it to Phit Phit, but I regret this deeply. I am glad I have not only a second chance to change my name, but now also a third lol. I have used the create account screen to test some of the names I came up with, and a few of them are available. I will not be giving them out, but they are related to a show i watch from time to time. Although I may be playing RS longer than this show may be on the air, I feel this will not be a mistake.
While I am on the subject of names, I do have one other beef as it were. It isn't 100 percent related to this update, but somewhat enhances the problem. The problem is quite simpley is not being able to report vulgar names. Well you can report them, but only if they speak or attempt to trade with you. I personally do not use the report option often if at all, but some people may be genuinely affended by some of the names I have come across. There may be other measures you can take against them if you choose, but I personally do not know of any as I said I rarely report.

Other than that I was granted 94 strength, and am under 100,000 XP from 80 Slayer. I would love to be able to kill Nechryaels, and of course later on Spiritual Mages and Abyssal Demons. I long ago gained the ability to make a Slayer Helmet, recently the ability to fletch Broad Bolts/Arrows, but I want to be able to make Slayer Rings. In between Slayer assignments I am going to do some Crafting grinding. Level 75 Crafting is required for the rings, and was 61 up to 63 as I type this. So all gramatical and puncuation mistakes aside I am off to RS once again!

I Am A Master Chef

After a few weeks of roasting lobster, monkfish and finally shark, I have gained the level I wanted. Then I thought of how I want to train Slayer on my way to at least 99 Strength, and figured I would also get the HP cape along the way.
Not even a full day since I got my cape, some people have made fun of the fact it isnt trimmed. Why is it people feel to do this? I could take ribbing if it was from someone I knew, but from random people gets me a little annoyed. Not only do players with several 99 stats say such things, but people who dont have stats over 70 have had the nerve to question my one 99. I laugh it off usually, but it tends to linger with me.
I did get the screenie, but my computer is being a little silly. Now on to those evil waterfiends!

Herblore Update

This is one that actually will deal with me in some ways. The new potions use Super Potions, Prayer Potions, and other things I can make which should draw up the cost of each. I have seen a slight incline in the price of Super Attack Potions, but havent paid much attention to the others. I need another way to make money as my only other way is Slayer. I have been doing 2-5 tasks a day if not more, but this will go down as I begin to cook again real soon.

I have absolutely no 99 stat, and this has me pushing forward with cooking little by little. Although I feel cooking will be my first 99, I have dedicated a bank tab to slayer/clue drops. I will be doing only Slayer assignments on my way to at least 99 strength(if not 99 defense and attack also). This method has given me a little exra motivation to train, and I have pushed my strength up to 91.
My luck has been decent as I have gotten Granite Legs from Wyverns, and plently of Mystic drops. I haven't been assigned much of anything with top drops other than Wyverns, and the occassional Black Dragon assignment.

Tedious Tasks

I'll start with the name I switched to today. Plaisted2 is now Phit Phit. Now I named him that because Pew Pew Pew was taken lol, Phit Phit may be just a name I'll use for a bit until I can think of one that will stick. It refers to the sound of bolts or arrows being shot, or at least that's what it sound like to me.

The pker is coming along slowly, but he does have 60 magic now. His attack will remain 40 for a some time while I pound out his strength as it is only 49. I did get his range to 41, but this is a stat that I love to train, once its over 50. I have done some quests on him such as: parts of RFD, Plague City, Biohazard, and some of the low level F2P quests.

Phit Phit's cooking is almost 90, and once I hit 90 I will go back to slayer for a while. The boredom from cooking is just too immense for me to continue for long stretches.

New Name Trouble

The name changing update came out , and all I could do was stare at the screen dumbfounded. Every name I could think of was taken or "unavailable", but I should be able to weasle one out of my brain soon enough.

I have not been working enough on Plaisted2, but the pker is starting to take form somewhat. What i was doing as I have already stated in earlier entries was cooking, but I needed a break from the monotony. I went to the old slayer master, and was promptly sent to Kurasks.

I think I should try to split my time equally between the two avatars, but who knows I think I have ADD.

I was killing myself with the boredom while I try to cook to 99, so I decided I might as well train the pker. I couldn't believe the decent money you can make(decent being for a low level with no skills) killing cows near Lumbridge, and shipping the hides and meat to the bank. Beefy Bill likes his 10% commision on your goods, but I made about 60k in my first hour of play. I think I will continue with this multitaking, off and on until I hit 99 cooking.

Not Much New

I haven’t done a whole lot lately, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t gotten anything done. I got 83 defense, completely finished Rag and Bone Man, got to 1600 total level(which is huge for me considering how I never work on skills outside combat), and did some slayer assignments. If I wasn’t so lazy I would be close to getting 99 cooking, but I haven’t gotten past 83. I have all the lobs needed to get to 90, but from there I am still debating on what to use.

A Few Goals...

I don't skill much, but I figure setting goals may help. I think they can all be obtained before 2010, but if not then shortly afterwards.
In no particular order:
1. 99 cooking(I have jumped from 70 to 75 so far in the past day) this one should be easy

2. 60+ in all skills(I currently have 7 skills under 60, but some are within a level or 2)

3. Quest Cape(this will be perhaps the hardest as I do not like to quest, and there will be more added by the time I get really started)

That's all seems doable enough I am pounding out a bunch of that cooking exp first.

A Jagex Miscue

I was reading through some of the Q & A's with some of the staff from Runescape, and I had one thought some people might not have come up with: Jagex screwed up certain skills. I for one don't skill much, but when they said they are going to make smithing and mining relevant again I had to think about it. Consider this how will they upgrade a skill that requires a level of 99 to make Rune legs/skirt, platebody and two hander? If they came up with another ore such as Dragon why should making its best items be just 99? I was wondering if back in the classic days they thought that Runite was going to be their strongest mineable ore forever? Now that they want to upgrade these skills will certain examples like this hinder their progress?

Yesterday I did very little of anything, but I did get the little exp needed for 73 slayer. Today I am looking to push myself through a few quests, get maybe an attack level, and finish at least one slayer assignment.
This new Living Rock Carverns update looks interesting, but as I don't skill very much I will hve to train certain stats to go check it out. From what I hear you have the chnce to mine for example multiple gold ore, but I was thinking what affect would this have on the ore economy? I would think with ore being produced at a higher rate that certain ores would drop in price, but with the level restrictions perhaps it won't.

One thing I learned from yesterday was that I do not enjoy questing...at all. I did three or four quests, and all I can say is that I had to force myself to do so. I still have many to do, but I believe today I will focus mainly on slayer.
73 slayer has been staring me in the face, begging me to get the remaining three or four thousand XP. I believe my current assignment is around 160 Cave Horrors, but I still don't know if I will range or melee them.

Lootshare Rampage!

Only got one quest done yesterday, but I did get to 90 strength. The goal will be the same today as it was yesterday.
The thing I really had a problem with yesterday....Lootshare Rampages! I was trying to finish up a Fire Giant slayer task in the Chaos Tunnels when two people decided that the Fire Giants were not mine to kill. Over and over again, they decided that it was more fun to kill the few on my side, instead of the 4-5 that were alive and well on the side they were at when I arrived. Only when the ones near me were dead would they go back to the other side, but as soon as they spawned again they would leave their side, and come runniung back to where I was.
This is an annoying habit that I run into too frequently. Why is it that people cannot leave you to something you attack, and kill something on their own? I see it while killing Tzhaars all the time! People just turn on LS, and run around killing only monsters that have already been attacked. I am not strong enough to outhit 2 people at certain high levels who act like they own the world.

After a short conversation about blogs with Tiz I decided I would jump on board. The thought of being able to look back on what I had accomplished was just too inviting to pass up. My plan for today is simple do as many quests as possible! I have 202 QP at the moment with plenty that I have the requirements for. Other than that I may do a slayer assignment, and do more research on the pker I want to create.
